1971 S LMC Die Chip Or RPM?

I pulled this from a bank wrapped roll today. I couldn't find any reference to it on Wexler's, Error-Ref, Etc. My next thought was a die chip perhaps? I don't think I'm lucky enough to find an RPM that isn't listed.

I spent a few hours trying to get the right angle, lighting, color, etc.. to look more like it does in hand but didn't have much luck. I hope these are alright.

Thanks Crazyb0! That's what I thought, but the hope of an undiscovered RPM got me excited for a about a Nano second.

It looks like a die chip. It doesn't follow the shape of the mintmark.
