I have recently started roll searching for copper Lincolns and some halves when I find em. So far the only thing I'm real proud or happy about is a 1909, plain and (to me)worn.
My friend was showing me some of his collection and handed me a 1961 d that is blank on the edges and back. Visualy, the face shows copper and the edges and obverse are a grey/steelish kinda color.
We looked at it a few different ways and it is indeed the same thickness as a regular coin. Any advise or speculative values? I havent been able to locate one like his yet to compare.
No, I don't think it had a rim. I took a photo from the side. This is what I was thinking too about the polishing off, but as a new collector, wouldn't trust my own opinion on anything. Again, sorry about the quality.
