In addition to assembling a collection of World Coins featuring composers and a Dutch Type Set from 1815 to 2001, a while back I also decided to start a collection of historical medals that shows a cityscape of my hometown Utrecht (The Netherlands), or features its iconic Dom Tower ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dom_Tower_of_Utrecht ). Recently, I obtained a historical medal that was struck to commemorate the 1857 "Tentoonstelling van Oudheden" held in Utrecht ("Exhibition of Antiquities"). The exhibition was composed of objects submitted by various institutions and from the collection of private citizens. The medal depicts the Roman Goddess Minerva sitting under an orange tree (an allegorical reference to the royal House of Orange) holding a spear and shield in her left hand, and holding a laurel wreath in her outstretched right hand. At her feet, the bale of merchandise, globe, compass, sword, scale and plow all point to her being a sponsor of the Arts, trade, and justice. In the background, the cityscape of Utrecht is shown.

FIFA World Cup, England 1966 One side shows two players in the center with the previous World Cup locations and years. The other side shows the Jules Rimet trophy, which was the championship trophy at that time, and World Cup England 1966. England hosted the tournament that year and ended up defeating West Germany at Wembley Stadium in front of over 96k fans to win the cup.
