"Turner Camac Chairman" type, all known varieties of this type (over 30) are rare to very rare or in some cases nearly unique, and many are found with major die defects or oddities (off center strike, overstrike, rust/pitting, partial/full brockages, planchet voids, muled dies, etc.)

This type was apparently being struck at around the same time a very large number of poor quality counterfeit Camac tokens were showing up, often with blundered or badly misspelled legends; perhaps the design change from "CAMAC, KYAN & CAMAC" to "TURNER CAMAC CHAIRMAN" was an attempt to distinguish these tokens, but that's my own speculation. Certainly the CHAIRMAN types are of lesser quality in terms of how they were struck; they might have been design trial strikes on recycled planchets (i.e. old or heavily worn tokens, or previously discarded) before this series was abandoned and replaced by the 1793 type (seated facing right, with still, and the edge inscription moved to the obverse) but again that is my own speculation as well.

I've got probably at least 15 different types between the two companies HMC (Camac) & AIMC (Cronebane/Wicklow) but this is my first of the CHAIRMAN type. Wasn't looking for one in particular, but can't pass on one "in the wild!"

Thanks Coinfrog......that German one nice size too at 50mm and is one of my new favorites in my collection. Both that I posted pictures of will be going to NGC for grading. They're just so nice and both are super rare so I want them slabbed and protected but I'm also curious what they might grade them as. I've only sent things for grading one time back in may and that was a group of20 of my 1893 Columbian Exposition tokens. I just sent out 40 more to NGC at the end of August and they still haven't even gotten to them yet. These two are in a stack of about 18 more that I want to send out too. I really don't know a whole lot about grading, but have been sending the best looking and some of the rarer tokens and medals. I have a few that graded on the lower side and 2 with "details" grades, but they were rare tokens and at least I know they're protected in the slabs now.

Interesting thing with the German token is I learned Google can translate the text on a token if you upload a photo of it! I thought this was really cool and could be very useful! I just uploaded the photo above and the result grom Google is posted below.
