Quote: I wonder if "W.S", "O.C.C.", and "A.S" are three different individuals or entities? The letters seem to be individually punched. That seems possible. Thanks. I'll see if I can get anywhere with that.

WWII "The Defence Medal" -- A service medal with a non-silver British issue and a 8000 Silver Canadian issue. This is a Canadian. I guess a ribbon had been attached.

Silver medal designed by Dora de Pedery-Hunt from the Metro Toronto Zoo's opening in 1974. It came in a blue felt case and is individually numbered on the side. Much more scarce than the bronze version.

From 1963, by Robert A. Weinman, for The Hall of Fame for Great Americans at New York University series: Of the reverse design, Weinman wrote: Quote: On the reverse are shown three men of widely different cultures-- all Americans-to-be -- each openly worshipping his deity according to his lights, free from any restraint whatsoever-- thanks to that excellent radical, Roger Williams.

Excellent, cptbilly! I have a few California state park tokens - I'll dig them out and photograph them.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures
