I was going through a box of coins that I have not looked through in many years and found this half dollar. I have no memory of when, where or why I purchased this but I'm glad I did.  |

Everybody loves a ship token!
This nice 1813 copper penny was issued anonymously and apparently circulated in both Britain and Canada. Although it doesn't appear in Charlton, Bowman included it in his monograph covering the Canadian Borderline Tokens.Withers Not Local W1617 RR, Bowman 17.
