Hello all, totally newbie here to coins, I came across this coin and hit a button and purchased it, now I have no idea what to do, keep it and sit on it, keep it and sell once sold out , or send it back. Not sure it will be worth more with being a 250 run. Any input would be grateful and link below. http://www.westminstercollection.co...py-Coin.aspx*** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

Ugh. That's a tough one to ask about. Did you pay 500 pounds for that? I doubt there are 250 Jersey collectors that would pay that, but I might be wrong.
Bottom line is, if it were me, I'd bite the bullet and try to love it.
Maybe you are young enough to break even some day.

Did you get it because you like it or with the intention of hoping to sell it for more?

The last lot sold out and that was a 500 run, I thought it may increase in value, what is a jersey collector?
I may be able to return the item.

Ok, not sure what it means when you say struck formthe balwick of jersey, the previous coin is not available anymore but to sell on I would have no idea where to start, so the coin is not worth the money they sell for ? And resale would be difficult ?

First of all, welcome aboard. Jersey officially the Bailiwick of Jersey is a Crown dependency located near the coast of Normandy, France. Each year, the The Westminster Collection offers several different Poppy coins on their web site. Most folks that I know only purchase the £5 for £5 offering that they do for a short time window each year for the Poppy coins which they put a household limit of three on. Until this year, I only purchased one until this year where a collector in Australia asked one of the £5 for £5 was. So I suspect that it would take quite a bit of work to sell that coin in the future. If you like the coin keep it, if not return it. The Royal Mint did their first UK £5 Poppy coin this year and the clad version is being sold for £17. I would not bother with the more expensive versions of these coins as well. Please bear in mind, that I buy coins that I like without an investment view or to flip. I hope you stick around. Feel free to ask questions at any time.

What you will get however is a whole raft of invitations to buy "RARE & VALUABLE COLLECTOR'S COINS" until you change your address.

Thanks for the advice guys, it's a lovely coin I must admit,'but seems the cost of the coin is not, I will get this packaged up and returned, it's not £500 nice, even more so if the value will not increase by much.
