Fairfax (Va) Coin Club Meeting

Our next meeting is December 12th, 7:00, at the Reston Community Center. It is our Annual Meeting where we will be electing additional Board members for the Club, and we will have Pizza and refreshments to celebrate the Holidays! We hope to see you there.


December 12th Meeting

Here is the planned schedule of events:

Bourse floor, auction viewing and Refreshments including pizza! Come for dinner and mingle! In fact come as early as 6:45 if you'd like. We are set up by then, and the pizza will be warmer! Bring a coin or two to discuss with others. We are extending the social time for Pizza and mingling. Get to know your fellow members!


Education: Show and Tell -First Silver Dollars of the Americas (as in North and South Americas) .

Business Meeting: Election of Board Members, Review of 2018 Budget.

Auction: A smaller auction this month, about 15 coins, to make time for other meeting activities. The auction listing is scheduled to be released on December 7th.

Raffle: A 1947-S Philippine Peso.



Coming Up

We are still exploring the right mix of activities for the club members at our meetings. Based on your feedback, there is interest for more focus on numismatic education. So, for the upcoming January and March meetings, we will conduct and an educational seminar that will be the focus of the meeting. There will be no coin auction at these meetings. More information on this very soon.
