OK. We almost made it through all of the Stans, and, more importantly we learned that `stan' could be interchanged with `Land', ie: Scot,Eng,Ire,Newfound,Thai,Ice etc. Kinda like Uzbeckiland,Turkmeniland,Kazakhland, etc. Not quite but you know! Not surprisingly NumisRob showed up with a Land Rover. The chauffer was not a complete surprise. Slerk had his dependable Russian 4X4 and I rented a G wagen just to show off. I found out quickly that it climbs the mountains in Central Asia quite easily, but does not come back down anywhere near as well. Good thing I found a friendly camel-renting kiosk.  |

The one country that doesn't exist anymore that I would like to play but don't have the coin yet is Tanu-Tuva, and only minted coins from 1934-1935, and all of them are rare, so  ... This was a land locked region in Russia... I can't wait to find one in a dealers junk foreigns... Edited by mrwhatisit
