What caused the Raised Angled Lines Between the Letters I and C in Monticello? The Angled Lines appear to be evenly spaced and precise. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I'll venture a guess that those are die gouges caused by feeder fingers. They insert coins at that direction and have lines on the bottom of them that if timing is out of whack, the finger is low enough or in the way and is stamped, like a clasch but not die to die.
