I know these are common dates, but I don't have a lot of Wheaties that look red with full luster. I think with these 2 I have 5 total.

Both of these look very red in hand with full luster. My camera lighting has a hard time picking it up. I can't wait until my Jansjo lights come in. Hopefully that will solve this problem.

First one is a 1956P This has LOTS(the worst I've seen on an LWC)of die scratches on obverse and reverse.

Second on is a 1958P

Any and all opinions welcome...as usual.

Thanks...Mont

I'd go MS61 on both. Not very eye appealing. AU58's would actually look better than these!

The 1956 has great lustre, but there appear to be horizontal lines on the obverse and verticals lines on the reverse. Are these scratches?
Rest in Peace

Both low MS, both have some spotting, yea, heavy reflective die scratches on that 56 but also carbon spotting on bust kill the appeal. 58 has a lot of chatter on the highs, spotting and a LDS mushiness obverse that doesn't help it much. Other than the pickies... coins are OK. I have noticed it hard to get nice 58P's in OBW, all mine have been below 63/64's, lot of discoloration, the Denver's have been way better. Maybe in the final rinsing....?

Yes, they're scratches, but they sure look to be scratches on the die.

That's a whimsical sort of polishing, which actually increases the desirability of the coin to a weirdo like me.

They are die scratches. Tiny raised lines that are reflecting the light badly.

Edit: When I see these lines I start looking for clash marks. Didn't find any on this one.

Perhaps 62 on both, not a fan of these.
Rest in Peace
