This has been raised in the Main Forum...yes the Opera House has been depicted on a fair number of Aussie Coins...here is the "mother" of it all, a full 10 ounces of .999 silver.

2000 Paralympic

Apologies for the big photo, but you need a big scan to do any justice to this coin...[:p]

Now that you mention it, I must say so as well...the Paralympic and the Sydney 2000 $5.00 coins are S. Devlin's designs so that is understandable, but the Landmark one is designed by Gottwald...

Yes it is....

However in looking at it again, I find an interesting contradiction..Greg McDonald in his 12th edition of Maccas on page 180 has Vladimir Gottwald as the designer of the reverse, the COA that is issued with the Coin has Horst Hahne as the designer. What do yo reckon RG/BF ...looks like Maccas has goofed up again...[:0]

I can only guess what it takes to put a book together. I do see that Greg has to do some editing on some things, particularly when errors pointed out last year have not been fixed this year.

In saying that it is still a great book.

I doubt that anyone can come up with a flawless reference book. Even Breen has some errors in his books.

I had a look at Renniks and they have Vladimir Gottwald as the designer as well....two different publishers cannot be making the same mistake...[:0]
