The prices are what a dealer will pay for the coins and I was shocked. No wonder we sell on ebay. Just on page 22 and 23 for example all nickels. 1925-40.00 1926 far 6 80.00 1947. 12.00 1951 high relief 225.00 1953 nsf near 150 1953 sf far 75.00 1964 extra water line 3.25 1965 large beads 30.00 Now these are all buying prices!

I was certainly unaware that Charlton has published ANYTHING dealing with dealer "buy" prices. Anyone can call a price guide whatever it wants ... and no one will buy it from you at a published price. You can't sell a coin to a book; you need someone with a wallet and a bank account.

I still get by with my 18th edition of Charlton's. (1970)
Still quite useful for me, and I got it cheap. (50c)

That's OK, because I don't collect World coins after the time when silver was no longer issued into circulating currencies,
anywhere in the World.
