I really enjoyed looking through all of these, impressive collection. I think the Cent you posted on page 15 - 05/26/2018 - as "monkey", may be Curious George. I really liked the "motorcycle" from that same page, I believe it to be an Indian Motorcycle. I don't go out of my way to collect these, but I do keep them as I come across them. I only have 3 that I came across while roll searching. I have a 1966 LMC with a - A A punched on to the Obverse - 1988 D LMC with a Holy Cross punched in the Coin (love the coin and color of it) - 1974 D LMC with what looks to be the one you labeled as the most common Kennedy, although it looks to be slightly different than yours, may have just been a harder punch. Very observant. Yes, there are about 6 or 7 different Kennedy counter stamps. I've thought about making a long post about them but never gotten around to it. Perhaps your observation will put my gears in motion. |

I wanted to throw an apology out there in case I have duplicated (or do duplicate) any counter stamps recently. I did look back aways to see where I was but things got so mixed and moved around in my books that I'm not sure what has or hasn't been posted. I have a bunch of Christmas ones coming up that I know a couple are duplicates. But ''tis the season. I think some of them I've posted every year. Thank you! I just remembered that I actually found this Coin in a partially filled Lincoln Cent Album that I had purchased, not while roll searching. It was the other two Coins that I mentioned above that I found while roll searching. I'm guessing the sticky residue on the reverse of this Coin is where it was once glued to it's original paper/package?  |
