I finally found a Wide AM today, my first ever! I found it in spare change at a store. The one on the left is the normal and the one on the right is the Wide A M.

Nice find Abe. I think more people are becoming aware of them and becoming harder to find all the time. Mine have come from rolls, great catch from change.

I went through my jug of pennies that I have been throwing my pennys in every night for many years for Wide AM cents. There was about $50 in pennys. I found 3- 1998's and 1 2000 but I was not lucky enough to find a 1999. Last week I found a 2000 penny Wide AM at a sub shop in the "give a penny, take a penny" tray. Harvey

I need to start checking my cents as well. I have an army ammo trunk with about 250,000 coins in it. I has been added to for three generations now. I am currently sorting them into wheats, pre 1982, and post 1982. I expect to be on that task for the next year or so. I guess I will check them more individually after I am done with this step.
