Did you do basic tests for authenticity?
Weight? Magnetic?

coconutjoe - not yet sir. I didn't know I had to check for weight & authenticity with this type. are there fake coins like this out there?
I'm also wondering why this is yellow. is it from toning?

My god. Look at the eagle's neck. Not a chance this coin is authentic. If I was the counterfeiter I would be embarrassed.

This is a truly terrible fake. It's best to ask questions before you buy something. If you haven't purchased this one - run. If you can return it, do so.

I figured that you might be new to this hobby. There are tones of fake Morgan silver dollars. Probably most counterfeited coin. Just want to break it to you gently.. Search top-right corner for "counterfeit Morgan" Learning is the best way to protect yourself. |

Definitely a bad fake. If you have an opportunity to return the coin to the seller, do so immediately.
