I am an Irish coin collector and don't know too much about American coins. All input will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

John.

These are sought after by civil war buffs. I sold one to the daughter of a civil war nut. She gave it to her Dad for his birthday. He is not a coin collector just likes anything to do with the civil war.

Lightly circulated AU-55. See ebay for sold lots. It will give you a fair market value.

Also, see US Commemorative History at left on its own tab.

Impossible to offer an educated grade opinion based on the images provided ... I'm confident no less than AU.

How did you come across this coin in Ireland?
Take a look at my other hobby ... http://www.jk-dk.art
