I have my auction listed on Craigs List, but wanted the expert opinion of some of the members here on the aforementioned coin. Should I go ahead and sell it, if a buyer commits to my price, or should I hold on to it?

Also, is it possible to get coins graded online?

thanks!

Hold gold.

Whom would trust an on-line grading?

Thanks! I guess the grading question was silly, but I thought there might be places who could give you an approximate idea, ya know?

Welcome aboard, RB!
I would hazard a guess of au-58 for this piece, and would not go higher without better pics (there is far too much of the coins surface hidden in these). If the rim ding is as bad as it appears to the right of the date, the coin will likely body bag.
If a buyer meets your price, I believe you have at least a moral obligation to sell it...... I know I'd be pretty ticked if I met a sellers price only to find out he was just trolling the waters to see what kind of interest there was.

G'day,
photographs without scale can be confusing.
Is this a sovereign, or a half ?
