Does anyone know the difference between the quarters that were minted as of 2001?

In my coin folder for 25-cents some are listed as:
2001w, 2001p, 2001
2002p, 2002ml, etc......

I was wondering how to identify the difference, and also know how long these pressings continued?

On the Queen side at the bottom there will be a W on some years indicating Winnipeg, and/or P for Proof or as you mention for example 2001 without these marks. I don't know what 2002ml would mean because I beleive there were only three versions for that year:
1952-2002 P Golden Jubilee
1952-2002 P Canada Day
1952-2002 P Canada Day Colourized (4th)
In 2006 they began to put a Mint mark which below the Queen, which looks like a little crown with a circle around it so you will see for that year:
2006 and 2006M (along with the other 10 other types for that year)

The 2002ml is the one with the one with the large Maple Leaf on it. Its referred to as a Canada Day variety. It comes in both a plain and colorized version. The P refers to plated steel as opposed to nickel.

OK that's what I figured what the ML quarter was......but I've got two more quick questions.

1. How many years does the Winnipeg (W) mark appear on the coins?
2. What are the 10 other types for the 2006 quarter?...(I've only taken note of 6)
