Found a couple of 2018D cents and a 2018D nickel in my wife's change purse today. Already had the cent but needed the nickel.  |

You just have to start executing more cash transactions, jbuck!  Now for the long, long wait before I find any P-mint 2018 coins in circulation. |

That is a big part of it. I went out of my way to use cash for lunch at one place last week and they rounded my total down to the nearest dollar.  The upshot is that I saved 37 cents.  |

I find that when I go out of my way to use cash, I get beat-up detritus in change. It's when I least expect it that I get new coins. E.g., when cash is my only option, I'm not thinking about it, or someone asks to borrow cash for a cash purchase, etc.

Got my first 2018 d dime last night. That brings me to one 2018 P cent, one 21018 D cent and one 2018 D dime. The odd thing is all of the have been found so far on the floor in the ER waiting room at the hospital. Did well at Wal-mart this morning too I'm now up to four 2017 P cents three 2017 P dimes and 2 2017 D dimes. |

Finally found my first 2018 Philly Lincoln today.
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

AINGER2 the reasons I search for new coins I can think of... They are mostly in good shape (low usage) If you store them away now they will be nice in 10 years. Scarce in the beginning Just different you can still say "I remember that year" Just because. Fun stuff Best of all, you can Cherry Pick for face value  |

18 has been a tough year only finding 18 plain cents no D's. 1 18 P dime. May have to buy some quarter rolls to search.
