This coin weighs 3.37 grams and has a diameter of 16 mm. My best guess is the Delhi Sultanate from the 13th or 14th century, but haven't been able to match it up so far. I'll certainly appreciate any help.

Have replaced previous blurry photos with sharper scans.

Hi!

Would be easier if the photos were in focus!

If you type in delhi sultanate in the search box top left it will take you to drnsreaders excellent threads and you should be able to find it there..

IDENTIFIED.
Thanks for the suggestion, Palouche. I did look into dnsreaders threads, which are helpful.
Ultimately did manage to identify this coin, by going through GG, checking coin metrology, and looking at photos of round copper coins in the correct weight range. This turns out to be a Bahmani Sultanate paisa of Firuz Shah, AH 800-825 = AD 1397-1422, ref GG BH70E.
