I have inherited a large number of coins and a few medallions, the coins I can do but this one has me beat. It is 42.5mm in diameter and weighs 42.5g there is an 800 mark so I assume it is struck in .800 silver. The medallion appears to be designed by Constantino Affer and produced by the Lorioli company. I believe it was probably obtained in the 1960s or 70s. Any idea if there are any collectors in this sort of thing or anything about why it was created would be gratefully received.

Jeff

Appears to be a medal with room for an inscription below emblem as shown here for cycling http://www.sportmemorabilia.se/cycling.htm (scroll down)

Also here https://www.kijiji.it/annunci/colle...ano/32616195 where the description translates to 'Beautiful medal 40 mm in silver metal'
Rest in Peace

Patron saint of...? Milan Motels? Religious award medal. For an unissued one, don't think a big collector item. If you searched Milan and those dates you may have an idea of who the figure is, A Bishop of Milan?

Being Milan, think St. Ambrose.
