Please Help Identify This Italian Medallion

cricketjeff New Member United Kingdom 1 Posts	Posted 01/09/2018 4:44 pm I have inherited a large number of coins and a few medallions, the coins I can do but this one has me beat. It is 42.5mm in diameter and weighs 42.5g there is an 800 mark so I assume it is struck in .800 silver. The medallion appears to be designed by Constantino Affer and produced by the Lorioli company. I believe it was probably obtained in the 1960s or 70s. Any idea if there are any collectors in this sort of thing or anything about why it was created would be gratefully received.
