I went to the bank this morning to do my daily trading of penny rolls and one of the tellers asked me if I mark my rolls copper or zinc. I said "no, but I will take all you have marked copper" sure enough, 3 rolls already sorted all coppers. Are people hoarding then bailing? or maybe they are just desperate for real money in hand rather than "future money".

Maybe so. The one benefit of hoarding coins is that they can be immediately liquidated for face value if one has an emergency need for cash.

Maybe some one cashed in someones collection. When I was at my main dealers shop Fri roll hunting silver Quarters for $3.00 a piece. He told me he had $20 in coppers he would sell to me for face value. All 79-59 they came from a estate sale he bought. I will be getting them this Fri.

Seeking: Saves me a lot of roll hunting
