Hi Guys,

I have been trying to find some info on this coin bank I purchased a few months ago.

I am not sure if this is the right section, but I could not find anywhere else that would fit.

do any of you have any idea if this was a mass produced item, when it might have been made? where it was sold or given away?

I have heard of Banks giving away banks to children to help them save this maybe where this was given away?

any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Thanks I have seen these, however I think they have not sold in 6 months or more.

the one states:

Ferrosteel Manufacturing Company 1 1/2" Shell 1919 Bank.
Made in USA. ca. 1919

however I could not find much about this company

That's because they are appraised at between 60 - 80$.

And it's pretty hard to find info about 100 year old companies unless you can find a copyright number.

You do know they aren't real ammunition don't you? Cast steel production.

I know, I am intrigued by trench art, and found this locally in Canada, I paid I think $20 for it.

Neat! Seems like a great purchase for what you paid.
