So, was Santa good to everyone? Nothing coin related here, but I did get some cash that may or may not be used to expand the collection, and a digital camera so I can maybe finally figure out how to post pictures here!

After getting my electric bill, I might not have minded a few lumps of coal to burn this winter....yikes!

After a nice bottle of "Chinese Tea" (bottled in Scotland of course)I must confess the spirit of Christmas is certainly in me. Nothing came in the way of coins other than enjoying myself posting here.

As for the cold, the invitation to come to warm, warm Aussie land is always there...[:p]

Well, my wife got me (well, she wrapped them) a bunch of uncirculated euro coinage to feed this addiction that Terry started.

2003, 2004, 2005 Finland 1 & 2 euro cents
Netherlands 1,2&5 euro cents (various dates)
Spain 1,2&5 euro cents (various dates)
1999 France 8 coin set (1,2,5,10,20,50 euro cents and 1 & 2 Euro)
2002 & 2004 Austria 8 coin sets
2002,2003 & 2004 Portugal 8 coin sets
(2) 2002 Greece 8 coin sets (one with, and one without letters)
2005 Austria Commemorative 2 Euro

While it wasn't a surprise when I opened them, it is nice getting coins for Christmas. I have to buy what I want because my wife is afraid she will get "ripped off" if she goes to buy coins without me. While she says that she enjoys my hobby, I think it is more that she enjoys me enjoying my hobby.

Not to be a downer, because I surely have it better than most (ie...those in the middle east), but I got off work this am. Woke up at 5pm and back at work by 7. So, needless to say, Ba humbug. :)

Hi Rachel. I'm very pleased to say that I got a nifty little sum of cash to spend on coins! Giving cash for Christmas is usually one of my "don'ts", but since my family members have little to no numismatic knowledge and experience, I can pick out my own present! Best wishes for a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Rest in Peace

While I'm certian that I deserved a lump of coal !! Belive it or not I'm not always good ,,I know that is a shock to all of you !!

I have been given by my wife a very nice new digital camera !! it will take a little time to learn ,but in the end it will be worth the effort I'm sure !!

I have had a very good day, with some time spent here with my community family and a very nice three days off with my wife,,

Our hours as very diverse ,with her working a graves shift and me a late swing, we dont see much of one another,so three days together is something to be savored !!

I was naughy this year so Santa got me a generator during the hurricane - that saved my coins from heat and humidity-

so christmas was sparse - no coins at all from my immediate family
but I did get two lovely coins
Australian of course 2 threepence
from our lovely forum Mum

Thank you Susan for all your kindness and you Bobby for your support.

These two coins have more than monetary value.
They are priceless due to the friendship they represent.
Americans may grad up to a 70
These coins are now in the 100+ range -
You are both amazing.

Received a 1997 Kookaburra from a grand daughter who was born in that year, and a 1999 Kookaburra from a grandson who was born in 1999. In addition, another Kookaburra, and a red presentation case to hold them as I complete the collection.

Also, my birthday is Dec. 27, so am hoping for a little more as far as coins are concerned.

Oh no, I spent a year over there by you. I am talking about those american soliders not able to be home in the US for Christmas.

On a side note, I REALLY enjoyed my time there. Not so much in Saudi, but Baharain and Kuwait were sweet!

Santa let me stay home for Christmas.
What more could I ask for.
I did get four silver crowns issued by The Royal Mint to commemorate WWII.
Plus another Cast Iron Piggy bank to add to my growing colection.
A good day with just a tad to much Christmas Spirit.

I got a DVD set of the T.V series Combat. It's the first year of the series, 1962 and in black and white. C'mon now I know some of the people on this forum remember that show. Vic Morrow, Tuesday night?

Thankfully none of the nit-wits that run around colorizing black and white classics got to this one.

I absolutely remember that show. It was one I never missed. The other show I never missed from back then was 12 O'Clock High..
As for Xmas, I bought myself an early present last month, a portable DVD player for my flights to California last month, & of course the $25 certificate I won here. (I'm to old for presents anyway, I have always felt that it should be for the kids)

Mrs Claus came to my house, Ho Ho Ho!!! In past years I have had a number of opportunities to acquire these two coins, minted at the Denver mint, in order to finish my Oregon Trail commemorative set, I just never got around to doing it.
So out of the blue, on Christmas morning my better half up and presented me with both the 1933D and 1934D half dollars. Both mid-range MS coins and match the rest of the set perfectly, could not have done better myself. I would say this was a Christmas to remember in the way of numismatics.

Well friends I hate to announce the Coin Fairy was so busy with all of you that I was NOT on the route this year! (tears here) But I did receive a little surprise from NDGOFLO that I wasn't expecting, a $2 Euro commemorative and some SILVER, so it was not a complete shutout! Looking forward to sharing and trading with all of you in the next year and do hope the best for everyone in 2006 which will be the FIRST full year for the KNIGHTS of the COIN TABLE and our 1st issue of our soon to be much sought after world famous wooden dollar in a strict limited issue of 250! Everyone have a great new year and thank you for the memories this past year! It has been more than fun!
