Indeed it is from North Korea. The only information provided on the Orders and Medals Society website database is that it is a Meritorious Service Medal.

Further research narrows it down to a Meritorious Labor Service Medal. Silvered bronze gilt with red enameling. 32.8 millimeters, pin back.

Here's where I got the above info and the seller is trying to get $65 for a similar one https://www.emedals.com/a-north-kor...medal-w2351#

I don't know much about the market demand for North Korean medals and what this would sell for.

There are very few North Korean medals that make money. Look at the parade pictures and you'll begin to understand why. The most that I've managed to count on an individual general was 137, and it wasn't a sharp image.
And if you try to sell on ebay, you have to omit the word North.

So it's a medal from The Other Korea, then?
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

I believe that I used that actual wording on ebay last year.
