I have been collecting US nickels since the early 1960's, but recently got interested in the Canadian 5 cents. I'm mostly focused on the proof silver coins, but have picked up a few others that seem scarce--the 1999P test, 2016 steel, and some others. My problem is I'm having a hard time locating a good sorce of data on the RCM's final sales numbers. Is there a good reference of data and sales numbers for the RCM's proof silver sets? Thanks for any help. |

A good source of information for Proof Sets
is a Charlton's Canadian Coins Catalogue Volume Two.

Yes, although you sometimes have to wait a couple of years before they're finalized and published. IE the 2018 Vol 2 has changed some mintage numbers going back as far as 2013 compared to what was in the 2017 Vol 2. But that's the most drastic numbers revisions I've seen so far.

At the top of the page, click the Home button. Then click the link to Manage your Profile. You may be prompted to log in again at this point. Thanks for the sales numbers kuh_85. I have a question about the two 1998 90th anniversary 5c coins. The numbers that I've seen show the "matte proof" sales at 24,893. Did the matte sell fewer than the regular proof? Thanks
