stoneman227 Pillar of the Community United States 2376 Posts	Posted 01/29/2018 4:52 pm Could be a transfer from some type of muck that another coin sat in as the letters read correctly and they actually apear to wrap around the rim to some degree. Most things that get stuck to coins will desolve away with a soak in acetone while the coin will not be hurt. An acetone bath could eliminate a contaminate stuck to the coin. Oh, and I did lightly swab with acetone before taking pics cause I figured goo as well but it's shiny. Thanks everyone for all the help.
