Love the stories. My 1st time asking at a bank for half dollars when they had any I got $55.50 worth of halves and got 64 -40% & 1-90% silver. I opened an account there the next day. I had trouble getting into my online account so I went back the following day. I decided to grab a box of pennies while there and the teller had $30.00 in halves. They produced another 9-40% & 3-90%. I could not believe my 1st/2nd time out was most likely my best time ever, but caught the bug. I went to 5 or 6 banks a few days later and found 15 CWR at a bank a few blocks away from my find. I ended up with 8 solid rolls of 40% coins & 1 roll that had 10-40% & 8-90% coins in it. Just over 25 ozt of silver. I have not had anything remotely close to that since (those finds were in October). Since then I have had some OK scores. I did find 2 Morgans at another bank (including 1st year coin) which to date my best individual coin find.

Well I meet the man who found the holygrail of LMC die variety. Congratulations, I'm stunned. Fate accompli, oh man how did you sleep that night? What a story and what a find. My best finds are small potatoes to that but I did have a good brick last summer. In the 50 roll box of cents was the 1988 D RDV-006, 1997 doubled ear, 1968 D DDR FS-801, and the 1955 cracked skull Lincoln. Wish I could hit another brick like it. Today I found another 1968 D DDR and the 1972 D DO 001 so its been a good day.

I am hopelessly hooked as well. Thursday provided me another example of why it is so darned addicting! http://goccf.com/t/308751
