I came into possession of this Ike today and quickly noticed the Medal orientation. Its not the most handsome Ike coin but does the orientation error hurt or help the value? The pictures were taken while rotating the coin on the 3 and 9 o'clock axis. All replies are greatly appreciated and thanks to all.

Interesting. Does the edge show any sign of tampering?

Other than a nice rotated die error, there is a possibility of a coin (or two) being sliced in half and put back together that way. Or, a coin that is lathed out so that another can fit inside of it, called a Magician's coin.

Checking the edge would be a good idea.

The edges look intact with no splice marks or deformities. I do now question the rim interior edge of the obverse. I almost see an edge when looking at it magnified. Could this be a sign of the magician coin?
Thanks
