*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. Titles are Important! ***

Be kind, I am a newb. Just got into coins and came across this. Seems odd. The date seems to have a line through it and the Y in liberty goes through the rim. Don't know if man made or a mint error.

Any help is appreciated... thanks

Looks like a random hit pushed a bit of the rim up to look like an extension of the letter "Y".

Just damage, circulation hits is all. Something hit the bottom of the 62 and whacked the left arm top of Y. It is a late die state with the devices so close to the rim...
Rest in Peace

Thanks for the info. As for the double post, the first gave an error saying could not be posted. Thanks again... Happy Hunting
