Yes, it looked out-of-round and a bit "squished". To me it looks like someone used it as a "level" for one of the old-type metal and chrome-plated kitchen chairs that everyone had in the 50's and 60's. Just a guess!

Nice to see you back from the Mother land Okie, the coin is a lot thinner than most 59's like you say could have been used for a shim somewhere
