Here's another classic US commemorative coin, this time one featuring a badger. Go Badgers! The coin was issued to mark the 100th anniversary of the Wisconsin Territory (not Statehood). 1936 Wisconsin Territorial Centennial Half Dollar If you'd like to read more about the Wisconsin half dollar, check out my previous post: 1936 Wisconsin Territorial Half Dollar

The grizzly bear makes another appearance in the classic US commemorative series (on another California-themed coin!). This one was issued to support the California-Pacific International Exposition that was held in San Diego, CA in 1935 and 1936. The coin is often referred to by its nickname - "San Diego." The grizzly bear is seen to Minerva's right (the viewer's left). 1936-S California-Pacific International Exposition Half Dollar To read more about the coin, have a look at my previous post on it: 1935 California-Pacific Intl Exposition Half DollarTo read about many other US commemorative coins: Read More: Commems Collection

Picked this out of the bargain bin just because it was big and heavy, about the size of a Morgan dollar........ Alley cat, Manx cat, and 2 birds.

@Rothery: Nice pickup - Thanks for sharing!
The IOM released about 30 different different designs in its "Cat Crown" series between 1970 and 2016 - it could make for a nice collection!
