I found this coin in my wallet yesterday and there are numerous things about it that look different to me. Not sure if they're a product of the die process or circulation. I appreciate any help. Thank you.
Looks like post-mint-damage to me, meaning that it was fine when it left the mint but since then it's been attacked by various implements such as knives, hammers, awls, screwdrivers, chisels, grinders, and perhaps a bear or two.
Seriously, this is nothing more than a normal 72-year-old coin that has been around the block a few times and survived in spite of it all. Great coin!
