1916 Buffalo Nickel Doubling

Ok so I bought this today for $4 not paying to much attention to the coin. Got home and noticed this coin has some sort of doubling. I suck at separating DD and MD so can you shed some light on this coin for me. Thank you

Sorry I'm not seeing any doubling looks like a 102 year old nickel.

Agree. Maybe some circulation damage to the first numeral "1".

Ok cause the 1st "1" is clearly struck twice. It has a divider line going down the middle of the 1. It's hard to see with these pics but it goes from the top of the 1 all the way to the bottom.

doubled dies are not caused by a double strike (assuming I understand correctly). the doubling is caused durnig the engraving process. the coin is still struck only once. the doubling is in the engraved die...
