Discovered this 10 pence amongst others from my grand dad's collection.
Any ideas on its value or quality

Year is 1968.
Looks like it might be played due to the silver colour showing underneath on the heads side.

Not worth much due to poor quality and being fairly common.

This is a good piece of history, being in the first batch of decimal coins circulated before decimal day 15/2/71, to encourage the public to get used to them. It has the same dimensions of the florin, or 2 shilling coin, it replaced. The florin was the result of the first ( failed ) attempt to decimalise in 1849.

Its size and weight makes it feel like it was worth something, and it was! I recall in the mid 60's as a kid being given just one shilling, which was enough to get me into the kid's cinema show on a Saturday, with enough left over to buy sweets. I read recently that the 10p coin now has the spending power of a farthing ( 1/960th of a pound ) in the 1860's.
Rest in Peace

It's always best to ask if you are unsure. Hopefully you will find a few winners.
