Yes, if you get the light on it just right you can see it goes a lot further than the pics shows

It's hard to determine what is there from these pics but whatever is between Abes forehead and the letters ust of trust looks like tiny plating bubbles. And the one on the face does not look like a crack to me, maybe a linear plating bubble?

Could you take a close up of the area and maybe tilt the coin a bit so it doesn't get washed out by light?

It looks like a linear plating bubble to me. That's only a detriment to the coin, unfortunately.

Unfortunately it IS a linear plating bubble, 1983 being the first year PROOF (BTW PROOF SET, NOT MINT SET!) cents made in stinkin zinkins.
