I have several 1977 Lincoln pennies but only 2 with the D mint mark and, the mint marks look different on each one and I was wondering if it could be an error or normal. Thanks for any info on this.

This one has taken a hit. As for your question, there may have been more than one puncheon tool used to imprint the mintmark. This was done in the last stage of die production and done by hand(up to 1990 on cents). Slight differences may be from depth of imprint, location on die face and if different puncheon designs, and in some instances, a broken punch (1979D)
