I didn't bid as I felt something was off with the general appearance and as their were 4 quite valuable coins up at once, didn't seem likely. The guy probably bought these at a 'car boot sale' or such, and doesn't seem to know much about coins. He has several US dollars on now and they all have a similar appearance- have a look. Be a shame for other folk to get burned.

Thanks for all the responses. As I said, I as uneasy, but was uncertain too. It helps that people can see things that confirm and I've learned something,,,, and am sure nervous now to buy expensive on ebay!!

im not an expert on US coins but the Carson city Morgan dollars dont look right to me , they all have the same patina and they look cast to me. anyone else?

They all have the same "cast" patina to them. The guy has a feedback of 42 and only has the most expensive Carson City dollars up for sale. They all have 11 foot pole marks on them.
