Hey Guys, There's little to no damage to the body of this coin, could the rim trouble be mint trouble?

Looks like zinc rot. I think the zinc is dissolving slowly leaving the copper plating.

Yes, this seems to be a mystery, at first I thought this:
1991-D-LMC-Zinc-Rot-Or-Rim-Error

But that went down in flames rather quickly. It was determined to most likely be caused as a " Dryer Coin", the tumbling in a dryer tub as these:
1991-D-LMC-Zinc-Rot-Or-Rim-Error
1991-D-LMC-Zinc-Rot-Or-Rim-Error

That seems the most reasonable reason for such damage. Possible another machine may be the culprit?
