Needed a change.
Just recently sent a bunch of coins, to be hard slabbed at CCCS, and instead of Cutting out coins and submitting RAW, or to (PCG$) I decided to have them cross graded and hard slabbed. Win win I think.

FYI, not all coins crossed by the way, however, I'm happy with it all the results and service were awesome.

I wasn't too happy with old ICCS plastic slabs. They are breaking apart and I can't get a decent photo of the coins.

I like taking hi-res photos of toned coins and now I have CCCS / ICCS cross graded , Hard slab.

I know nothing about CCCS and am more familiar with PCGS and NGC but I enjoy hard slabs instead of soft flips

nice choice, although not a fan of CCCS aside from their error certification service..i share your feelings about ICCS and believe getting the ICCS cert # on the slab was a good move.

Who knows,,

maybe there's an opportunity for CCCS to capitalize on it in the future.

Very good idea.

I would have thought CCCS would have made much more of an imprint in the Canadian market because of their advantage over ICCS of having a hard slab.

It tells me ICCS is still the preferred grading company as CCCS has been around now for quite awhile.

Respect,
As long as ICCS is around, people will still use them for sure, but compare to PCGS they have a lot of catching up to do. Which in all likelihood may not happen.
I'm happy taking my ICCS coins , getting them hard slabbed and cross graded with CCCS. A lot of my coins, I can't see properly. The plastic flips on the "older" ones are getting hard and little deforming.

It's a breath of fresh air, and now I can see the coins in new light. haha

Watch your 1 cent ICCS coins, as CCCS will grade them more like PCGS. The red designation on ICCS coins , is somewhat of a joke.

True.....as much as I like ICCS, their 'RED' designation is unfortunately a super wide range which includes a lot of red-brown cents.

I would consider hard slabs for gold and silver coins, as any nick or rough handling will imprint itself onto the coin. I have only one hard slab and it was given to me. They're pretty hard to put into a binder type album.
