I was wondering if anyone could let me know what they think these are worth. I am supposed to meet someone Friday who may be interested in buying these from me or trading me for some coins. He is not a dealer, but I know has been collecting notes for decades. He is a friend of a co-worker so I don't know much about him and I want to give him a price, fair for both of us or an equally fair trade and I don't want to get ripped off.

15 1957B Silver Certificates with consecutive serial numbers.

To my untrained eye, the are perfectly flat, have sharp corners and are crispy as potato chips. They are sharp and vivid with very well saturated blue printing in case the picture doesn't show that.

Because of the crappy lights I had to use for this picture, on my monitor there appears to be a faint reddish cast in the left upper corner. This is only the lighting, there is no cast of stains anywhere. They are clean.

I tried looking at the Heritage Auctions Archive but quantities and/or years differed so it was hard to tell. I assume that the more notes in sequence you have, the greater value each note has.

Any info would help.

Thanks.

Until I get home tonight and check references I can't give even a wild guess as to value. Sorry.

Wow,
I would love to own something like that. The most I've seen together at one time was 6 consecutive bills.. and they were not in nearly as good of shape as those.

I would have a tough time letting those go

photoeric, Glad you like them. Luckily the guy I am supposed to meet today had to postpone to next weekend, because I really still don't know what they are worth.

I am fond of them too, but I am just getting started learning about coins and just don't have time to learn about currency too, especially seeing I have only a small envelope of paper vs boxes and boxes of coins.

For what it's worth, I will probably be posting some of my other notes here as time permits. I don't have too much, but among what I have is 2 error notes (offset and slight third printing shift), a couple large bills, A couple brown seal $10 from FRB NY, NY, and about 50-60 blue and red seals in varying condition.

Conservative value of $120-150 in their Unc condition. Maybe more if you can get someone to give them a proper grade.

Thanks everyone for input. Is there a link someone can give me to some sort of grading guide that explains the criteria for various grades. I have several for coins but none for currency. For paper, I don't even know what the grades are.

Thank you.
