Oh NO!!! Another Austalian attempting to hook me as I pour in countless amounts of cash into the Australian economy! Are you in Kahoots with lim118? Do you work for the RAM? lol! I just purchased the 2006 fifty cent piece in proof (one cent and Two Cent also) as it will most definitely be a KEEPER! Still need to purchase an Aussie guidebook so lim118 has been helping me out. The fifty cent piece is a beautiful coins as well so tell me how it breaks down? Is it minted every year or replaced ocassionally with commemoratives? When did the decimal 50 cent start and how many and how much would I expect to pay out for Uncirculated issues or, if affordable PROOFs which I would prefer? Sorry for all the questions but the $1 coins should not take to long and it would only be natural to move to the fifty cent piece next?

The fifty cent pieces would most definitely be uncirculated coins as there are way to many to tackle PROOFS!!! But, the Mob of Roos must be PROOF to get the full beauty the coin offers. None the less, I have started my search for Roos!

1989,1990 & 1991 the normal MOB was used again. It should be noted that the first mint your won coin was in 1991. In 1992, the MOB was not used, the "Barcelona Olympics"was issued instead. It is also the first Aussie coin to feature a female that is not of the "royal fold". This issue comes in so many flavours that it would need a separate thread just to deal with it. Here is the normal proof.
