Yes, I agree. It looks like a rupee from Nepal. If I'm reading the date correctly it looks like VS 2034, corresponding to AD 1977.

This is a good series to hunt for overdates. Most are not listed in common coin books. So check junk boxes. It is nothing if not fun.
