Looks like it was in the bottom of a cup holder in a car and the pop spilled onto it eating the surfaces.

Ah man. I figured all the black stuff was no good but was hoping the copper parts were something cool.

Thanks for the encouragement. Just so I know in the future, What would be the difference between what looks like copper showing on this coin, and a partial clad coin?
