Bad picture but probably just replated coins. No proofs of those cents

"Reprocessed" coins are circulated issues that have been cleaned and replated with a stronger "zinc" plating, this time with chromium in it to be reflective. The original zinc plating was a matte finish. As replated coins these are considered by most collectors as damaged coins, therefore of NO value...NOT a good purchase. I just got a grab bag of different small bags of coins, had one with 23 steelies, two were replated, thoese two are now in my next bank dump bag to give some noob CRHer a real thrill! If you can't gather, I am not a big fan of replated coins. Only value is for the one selling them...they get rich on your money.

The set in plastic is for display only, not for collectors. I agree with the others, replated coins - considered Post Mint Damage ( PMD) by collectors. The second picture you posted appear to genuine 1943's, the top one might even be mint state.

The second pic shows coins that collectors are interested in. I had my own experience buying "reprocessed" Steelies a while back.

As with so many other items of Numismatics, such coins ARE collected. There are error coin collectors, Proof set collectors, Foreign coin collectors, year only collectors and on and on and on. Usually when people say of no value, they are referring to themselves when selling. Ever notice how many people even here constantly refer to VALUE, not collecting? So many people only think of cost, value, money, not collecting for fun. I say this due to myself being a 1943 Steel Cent Collector. I have virtually thousands of them. I have many in plastic rolls with labels such as Plated with Zinc, Plated with Copper, Plated with Chrome, Plated with Tin, Plated with Silver. Non yet plated with Gold but I keep on looking. I also have many not plated at all and some in Uncirculated condition. As I said there are virtually a large variety of collectors that collect with little to no intent to sell so value is of little to no concern.

Justcarl thanks, yes that's how I am, I am just collecting all different types of coins, the history of them is what I am into, I've said that on several of my post that may not be a pricey coin but I'm glad to own it, check another one off the list.. Although I wouldn't complain if I found a 1943 (copper alloy) penny lol.. I traded that steel cent set in on more sets I purchased today, I have brought my collection up to about 100 US coins from 1811 being the oldest and I just started a week ago! I caught the fever I think lol, but I do appreciate everything I am learning off of this coin community
