Looks like a normal 1971 cent minted in Philadelphia to me. The experts may have a different opinion.

I have judge the height of the 9 and 7 and determine that it is a small date like if indicated for the 1971 s

It is the 1970-S that has the large and small cents.

To the Community. As mentioned, it is a normal 1971 LMC ,it is minted in Philadelphia, that's is why there is no MM below the date.Just a regular strike and no special mint issue and it looks in a pretty nice condition ( does not bear any additional premium though)

is there anyone in the community that is familiar with the 1964 no mint mark SMS that supposedly came in existence when Eva Adams was the u.s.mint director at the time.. after she passed Lester merkins bought most of her coins and estate after that most of his coin were sold to stacks and Bowers auction in the early 90s that's when the coins were discovered there is only thought to be maybe less than 50 of them but I've been told what to look for on the coin is for as markings and I believe I might have one is there anyone there in the community that is familiar with this coin
