Brunswick-Lüneburg-Calenberg, Ernst August, 1/3 thaler 1697, KM 404.

NGC Price Guide entry, Numista entry.

The person depicted on the coin is Saint Andrew.

I don't actually know my stuff that much, I just know Google and Numista

That's one very unusual way of date placement, incidentally. Can't recall having ever seen anything even remotely similar.

I love Numista, it's the Wiki Of Numismatics!

I use Numista to catalog my OFEC (One From Every Country) collection. It will create a color coded map of the world highlighting the countries you have as well as the countries you need. It even offers an exportable detailed list of your coins by country, date, denomination, etc. for printing.

JDRMCB:
Do you have any coins made from Antinomy or Niobium? (I don't )
Such have already been noted here in the CCF.

I also include OFEC
One From Every Century
One From Every Culture,
back to the invention of coinage 2600 years ago, but my collection is only a tiny fraction of the size of your collection.

I don't believe I so.

However....I do have one made from Franklinium, a fantasy alloy created by the Franklin Mint.

Billon coinage is quite the enigma to me.

In my opinion, no two billon Coins look the same in regards to their physical characteristics.
I think it's made up of whatever alloys (besides silver) the maker had available to him at the time.

Some have even been found with high levels of Mercury in them!

So calling Billon a silver alloy is quite a stretch for me...
