1866 Shield Nickel "in OD We Trust" Die Error?

RubyOpal Valued Member United States 109 Posts	Posted 03/05/2018 2:51 pm I got this as a filler for my 7070 until I can find a better one - then, on close inspection, could not find any traces of a G. At least nothing that I could definitely say was part of a G. The rim is still evident on that part of the coin, so it isn't just that the letter's been worn away. Die error? Weak strike?
