1920s Germany saw the incredible collapse of their system of currency

http://www.usagold.com/germannightmare.html

one of the most startling parts of this article "In 1923... it was cheaper to burn marks than to use them to buy wood"

I hope we aren't headed there....

Very interesting article, as a collector of notgeld and hyperinflation currency I would not want to see what happened in Germany in 1923 to happen here in the US.

That was an interesting read as I have some notes for that era. Is there any value for them now? I have a Funfzig(?) Mark Berlin 5 August 1914, Eintauiend Millionen Mark Frankfurt AM 18 October 1923, 50 Funfzig Mark Berlin 24 June 1919, 10000 Mark Berlin 19 January 1922, 100 Millionen Mark Frankfurt AM Main 28 September 1923, Behn Millionen Mark Berlin 22 August 1923, Eine Milliarde Berlin 5 September 1923, 5000 Mark 1 December 1922.

I also have what I think are 3 old Chech bills and a 10 Francs which I think is from Feb 43
